From the planning stages to the actual trip, Hana Bank is committed to supporting customers with banking solutions tailored to their needs.
In line with this commitment, Hana Bank has partnered with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), the representative organization for South Korea in the tourism sector. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Hana Bank President Director, Jong Jin Park, Executive VP International Tourism KTO, Lee Hak Ju, in Jakarta last weekend.
Hana Bank President Director, Jong Jin Park, said, "Hana Bank and KTO will collaborate to promote visits to South Korea. Through this collaboration, Hana Bank is committed to providing added value to our customers, ensuring that their trip to South Korea is an unforgettable experience."
One form of collaboration between Hana Bank and KTO is Hana Bank's participation, through its digital banking service, LINE Bank by Hana Bank (LINE Bank), in the Health & Wellness Festival at Central Park, Jakarta, November 1-3, 2024. The event offered beauty, health, and wellness consultations, beauty and wellness experiences, talkshows, promotions, and games.
"The cooperation with Hana Bank is a strategic step to attract more Indonesians to South Korea. With this collaboration, we hope to open up more opportunities for Indonesians to explore the beauty and rich culture of South Korea," said Executive VP International Tourism KTO, Lee Hak Ju.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, LINE Bank provides a variety of products and services designed to facilitate customers' journeys to South Korea. These products and services range from the planning stage, such as savings and deposits with interest rates of up to 7% that can help customers save for their trips, as well as unsecured loans (KTA) with easy and fast processing.
Additionally, for convenient shopping, LINE Bank provides contactless VISA debit card services that allow customers to easily make withdrawals and purchases at merchants with competitive exchange rates.
LINE Bank is also offering an attractive Year-End Surprise (YES) promo, where customers can enjoy cashback of up to Rp1,000,000 by making transactions using debit cards and QRIS.
South Korea is one of the favorite destinations for Indonesians. According to KTO data, there were approximately 11 million foreign tourists who visited South Korea in 2023, 250,000 of whom were from Indonesia. This figure has not yet surpassed the pre-pandemic figure as Indonesians who visited South Korea in 2019 were 278,000. Therefore, KTO predicts that the number of Indonesians who visit South Korea will increase to 300,000 in 2024.
