Jakarta, February 25, 2025 – PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia (Hana Bank) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education sector in Indonesia by distributing scholarships totaling Rp1 billion to 100 students across five leading universities, including University of Indonesia (UI), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Padjajaran University (Unpad), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and Bina Nusantara University (Binus).
The scholarship award ceremony was held at Hana Bank's Head Office and was attended by Chief Human Capital and Operation Officer Hana Bank, Sumia; Head of Learning and Talent Development Hana Bank, Vitriawaty; Director of Student Affairs and Scholarships UI, Dr. Drs. AG. Sudibyo, M.Si.; and Vice Rector for Student Affairs Binus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yohannes Kurniawan, S.Kom., S.E., MMSI. Similar ceremonies were also held at the UGM, Unpad, and ITB campuses with representatives from Hana Bank and each university.
"We believe education is the key to a better future. Through these scholarships, we want to open more opportunities for students in Indonesia to achieve their dreams. This initiative also reflects Hana Bank's commitment to growing together with the community, in line with our mission 'Growing Together, Sharing Happiness," said Sumia.
The scholarships are a collaborative effort between Hana Bank and the Hana Nanum Foundation, a foundation under Hana Financial Group, Hana Bank's parent company. In addition to alleviating the financial burden of tuition, books, and other necessities, the scholarships also provide opportunities to network with fellow scholarship recipients and professionals within Hana Bank's global network.
"We hope these scholarships can reach even more students in need and make a real impact on Indonesian education," concluded Sumia.
